Body Worker, Licensed LMT since 1981, Internal martial arts since 1974

Berry work: Berry work is mostly for correcting displaced muscles, ligament, organs and other soft tissue work such as breaking adhesions. It also involves a variety of ‘world’ techniques such as lymph drainage, moving interstitial waters to drain lungs and sinuses and more.

Neuromuscular Re-education (NMR): NMR is mostly about “turning off” compulsive nerves and restraining the body out of hyper-tonicity through manipulation and movement.

Bio-Kinetics (BK): In this work the brain (thalamus) is actually stimulated to activate a resetting of neural messages. This is excellent for phantom pain and neuromuscular-related ‘memories’. Specific exercises are also prescribed.

Soft Tissue Release: This technique is great for relieving acute pain caused by spasms and chronic hyper-tonicity.

Chi Kung healing: This is an ancient traditional form of healing used in China where one infuses the client with life force, as well as releasing trauma energy. I have been studying Chinese Internal Arts such as Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Bac Qua since 1974. I use some exercises from this training for my clients.

Shiatsu: This work is for balancing meridians. I use a little acupressure in every session. I have added some Chapman reflex and trigger point to this as well.

Healing Codes HC, Re-evaluation co-counseling (RC) and other inner work: HC is a very effective technique used to heal memories lodged both in the body and mind. It can be a proactive technique or a treatment can be administered. I did ten years of RC back in the ‘70’s which involved becoming a good listener, and learning how to help people get to their feelings without getting slumped. Other inner work such as: Being involved in the late ‘80’s with the Good Enough Community, which is an adult transpersonal experiential study group. Taking numerous (at least 10) accredited classes on subjects of spiritual practices for healing by using greater possibilities bestowed by grace, at the Center for Spiritual Living (member). I am currently also a member of the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center. I have an extended family that all love each other a lot.

BA in Art U.W. I am a painter and sculptor and use most drawing mediums. My work varies from expressionistic to representational.

I’ve shown in downtown galleries, the Henry Gallery, had an agent and sold works for up to $2,000.

MA in Forestry U.W. I am a consulting forester. In the mid ‘70’s I was the Tree Farm Family manager for the White River area for Weyerhaeuser for five years.

Matriculate U.W. I also did post graduate studies on a variety of health-related topics: Human physiology, psychology, speech and hearing.

Nutritional Therapy Practitioner: Certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) and Seattle Central Community College.

I have had an active interest in nutrition and cooking since 1968. I most gratefully completed NTA’s program in 2007. The training is focused on returning sufficiency of digestion, absorption and utilization, and are taught how we can support our clients in learning what proper food processing and life style practices are essential for their specific nutritional needs.
